Join HomeGroup and Share Your Files. Windows 7 makes it simple to set up secure home networks and share photos, music, and even printers.
To create a HomeGroup, click the Windows flag in the lower left corner of the screen, type the word “HomeGroup” into the search box, click on the result named “HomeGroup” and the HomeGroup window will open. Simply launch the HomeGroup wizard to create a HomeGroup and choose what to share. The wizard will generate a password which can be used to add other computers to the HomeGroup.
To add a computer to a HomeGroup, find your HomeGroup in the Explorer Navigation Pane. Click the Join Now button, click the Next button, type the password into the password text box, click the Next button and the Finish button.
Once connected, your Windows 7 PCs can stream shared media, pictures, and documents from any computer in the group! An added bonus: if one computer in a HomeGroup is connected to a USB printer, the other computers in your homegroup will be as well.
